The Blues Rugby Team

Super 14 Blues Rugby Shirt:The Blues shirt is manufactured by the team sponsor Adidas. With a white collar and dark coloured shoulder tops. The other teams sponsor been ford displays their logo across the front of the shirt. The shirt has remained relatively unchanged over the year of the competition.

Brief History:Originally called the Auckland Blues the team one the first Super 12 competition in 1996 and followed up with another win in 1997 before loosing in the final against the Crusaders in 1998. The blues originally included Counties Manukau and the Thames Valley however this was swapped with the Chiefs franchise for Northland and North Harbour. By the year 2000 all Super 12 teams removed the location name from their names and hence the team is now known as just the blues.

The Blues have one of the best records in the competition and are the only team to have won more than 50% of their games against the Crusaders who have 7 titles to their name. With names such us Sean Fitzpatrick, Zinzan Brooke and Jonah Lomu this team has seem some of the greatest players in world rugby.
