Super 14 Central Cheetahs Rugby shirt: The main kit the Central Cheetahs wear is a white jersey with an orange collar, and orange strips down the side. The shoulders include green and purple strips. The colours represent the three central union Currie Cup sides: Orange and white symbolise the Free state, Turquoise depicts Griquas and Purple is for the Northern Free State Griffons.
The second jersey is the same design, but it is mainly orange, with purple and white strip along the shoulders and green and white strips along the body of the jersey. The Central Cheetahs kit is made by Canterbury, and their primary sponsor is the first cellular network company in South Africa - Vodacom.
Brief History:The South African Cheetahs entered the Super 14 competition in 2006. The current Cheetahs captain is back-rower Juan Smith. The franchise areas include the Free State, Griffons, and Griquas Currie Club unions. In terms of provinces the Cheetahs draw from Free State and Northern Cape. They play their home games at Vodacom Park in Bolemfontein and ABSA Park in Kimberley, South Africa.
