Western Force

Western Force Rugby shirt: The Rugby shirt is nearly entirely blue and is manufactured by ISC. The shirt also features the logo which is a black Swan. The colour and the logo is suppose to represent the coastline and the blue skies. Brief History: The Western Force is one of the newer teams to the Super 14. The Western Force are based in the City of Perth with its home ground been Subiaco Oval which has a capacity of 42,922. There where bids to expand the Super 12 competition dating back to 2000 and it was announced in 2004 that Rugby WA had one the bid of rival Rugby Union Victoria. The first Western Force game was played on the 10th of February with a 15 point loss against the Brumbies. The 2006 season had one major highlight for the team which was a draw against the defending champions the Crusaders, however this did not stop them from finishing last on the table. During the first season support increased and by the end of the season even with disappointing results the stadium had the highest crowd average of all the teams. In 2007 the team finished mid table with position 7 and in 2008 in position 8. The team coach John Mitchell has been able to develop a team with now many international players in a very short time. Some people believe that the Force are on track to win their first championship within the next 5 years if the franchise keeps improving at the current rate.
